Myself Bala from India. I’m a Digital Product Designer. I have 12 years of experience working for various companies like Juniper, Cisco, KPMG, Wipro, etc.

Most of all, I’m a Self-Taught Designer (STD). I have no formal education in Design, only a few certifications while I was in Job.

I have done masters in Biotechnology. When it comes to my career, I was very particular; I should pursue something I’m interested in. I started my journey as a graphic designer in a magazine firm and now as a UX Designer at Cisco. When I look back, I feel that the best decision I have made in my career.

In my 12 years of journey as a Self-Taught Designer, I have also faced several challenges in getting into my first Job, Learning new design skills, Moving to higher roles, etc. Here I share some of my experience and thought.
